As the Aleixo towers are dismantled over years, residents face suspended lives, fragile routines, and the quiet erasure of their community.

Our Land, Our Altar witnesses the final daily rhythms within the Aleixo social housing, where residents live under the weight of an imposed destiny. Between the demolition of the first and the last tower, the process has stretched on for years, suspending lives in a state of unresolved waiting. Forced to accept the disappearance of their community, the inhabitants watch helplessly as the slow dismantling of their home erases the traces of their shared past.
