Open Call: Apply Now for the 10th Verzió DocLab in Budapest

The 10th Verzió DocLab is now accepting applications! This international workshop, held during the Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Budapest, offers a five-day intensive mentoring program for directors and editors working on creative documentaries.

Taking place from 8 to 12 November 2025, DocLab is designed to support documentary projects in early development or rough cut stage, helping filmmakers refine their narrative structure, visual approach, and editing strategies. The workshop includes one-on-one consultations, group feedback sessions, and networking opportunities with mentors, peers, and industry professionals.

Verzió DocLab is open to applicants from all over the world, with a focus on early-career filmmakers committed to documentary storytelling that engages with pressing social and human rights issues.

The workshop is powered by the Doc Around Europe network and funded by Creative Europe MEDIA.
