YOUNG EUROPEANS JURY 2026 – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Each year, the FIPADOC Campus in Biarritz brings together seven young European talents to form the Young Europeans Jury. Together, they award the Young Europeans Jury Prize to the best documentary in the European Stories competition section.
This competitive selection presents a dozen international films that explore the diversity of Europe and its people. The films invite viewers to discover, reflect, and share their perspectives on what it means to be European today.
ABOUT THE JURY
The Young Europeans Jury consists of:

One student from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, representing France
-
Six young talents who have previously taken part in one of the festivals within the Doc Around Europe network
The participating festivals are: Biografilm (Italy), DocsBarcelona (Spain), DOK.fest München (Germany), MakeDox (North Macedonia), Verzió (Hungary), and FIPADOC (France).
HOW TO APPLY
Applicants are invited to complete the online application form and include:

A short personal introduction

A documentary film critique written by the applicant
All candidates must be fluent in spoken English in order to discuss films with fellow jurors from across Europe.
