Biography
Jesse Jokinen is an award-winning Finnish filmmaker working as both a cinematographer and director. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuously deepen his craft, he has worked internationally across a wide range of genres, productions, and collaborators.
As a cinematographer, he has shot the BBC documentary series Just Boys, the Yle production Tavarataivas, and the unscripted TV series The Astronauts for Dubai TV, which won the 2022 Broadcast Pro Middle East Award for Best Unscripted TV Production. As a director, he created the youth series Metsähaaste (2019), which received the Audience Award for Best Youth Programme at the Finnish national Venla TV Awards.
