Biography
Jonathan Bugiel is a curious human being and media scientist turned documentary filmmaker. Born and raised in Berlin he quickly ran away into the world living in Jerusalem, Rome and… Bayreuth where he then studied media science and ethnology. Bugiel started out as a filmmaker in factual entertainment and as a festival producer at the DOK.fest Munich, where he works ever since. In 2025 he graduated as a director from the ZeLIG School for Documentary, Television and New Media, in the Italian Alps.
