Biography
Luca Lovisetto is an Italian author, archive producer, and sound artist based in Bologna. His work focuses on documentary and archive-based storytelling, exploring the relationship between sound, memory, and visual culture. He is currently developing Il Vangelo secondo Francesco, a feature documentary based on the discovery of previously unseen photographs from the set of Liliana Cavani’s debut film, with a collective of filmmakers formed at Cineteca di Bologna.
He works as an archive producer, with experience in research, curation, and the creative use of archival materials, and in the production department for Lab Film.
Lovisetto is co-founder of Bottega Studio, an artist-run space dedicated to sound production, archives, and artistic residencies, and a board member of Associazione Corso Doc, which promotes documentary culture through training and industry-oriented programs.
He also works as a composer and sound designer, recently participating in the Memoryscores residency (Home Movies Archive) and composing the score for Sweet Home Cesuna by Bruno Carli.
