Biography
Marie Zrenner, born in Munich studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the École de Recherche Graphique in Brussels, before pursuing documentary film directing at HFF Munich in 2017. Her work, including documentary and fictional films, explores themes such as belonging, solidarity and mental health. In 2022, she received a scholarship in Montreal, where she met Kathy Snowball and they created the short film Kathy and Teresa. In November 2023, she won the German Short Film Award for her film Alex in the Fields. Spring in Kangiqsualujjuaq is her diploma film at HFF Munich.
