Biography
Nicolas Birkenstock directed his first feature film in 2014, PICKING UP THE PIECES (LA PIECE MANQUANTE), starring Philippe Torreton, and released theatrically. He directed several short films broadcasted on France Televisions or ARTE, and presented in Competition at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, among which BLACK SEEDS (2004) and LITTLE BEAR (2020, awarded in Palm Springs). He’s currently working on his second feature film.
