Biography
Vivian Barbullushi (born in Shkodër, Albania, in 1995) is a Milan-based director and screenwriter working across cinema and contemporary visual arts, with a Master’s degree in Storytelling & Performing Arts. Through hybrid forms and research-driven practices, her work investigates themes of memory, identity, and belonging, exploring the relationship between personal narratives and collective histories. She has worked as a screenwriter on several short films spanning fiction and hybrid forms. She co-wrote “The Last Day of the Bear”, which premiered at Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg in 2025. She is currently developing her first feature-length documentary “Jellyfish”, a biographical project selected for the Pitching Forum at Biografilm Festival 2026 and for Pack&Pitch at Sarajevo Film Festival 2026. She is a participant in Talents Sarajevo 2026.
